Hi, I’m Katie Chrisco, LCMHCA, NCC
I’m a clinical mental health counselor who helps children, teens, and adults with discovering their inner strength and resilience. I strive to be a friendly and supportive presence, creating an environment where clients feel valued and understood. My approach is grounded in authenticity; I bring my genuine self into our interactions, ensuring that my support is both heartfelt and meaningful. I prioritize a person-centered approach by actively listening and engaging with each client’s unique perspective, fostering a space where they can freely express themselves. By being fully present and empathetic, I help clients explore their thoughts and feelings, encouraging their personal growth and helping them navigate their challenges with confidence.
Outside of being a clinician, I am a mother, nature lover, and a curious observer of all things. As a mom of four boys, my days are typically filled with a combination of messiness, adventure, curiosity, refereeing, and play. My love for nature shines through in my amateur gardening, family hikes, and outdoor activities, where I encourage my boys to appreciate the beauty all around us. With an open-minded approach to life, I try to foster a home environment filled with curiosity and embrace opportunities for learning and growth. A few of the things I enjoy are coffee, documentaries, comedic podcasts, Millennial music playlists, and being outside listening to the birds and searching for frogs. With my love for exploration and laughter, I aim to create a supportive, joyful atmosphere for not only my family, but for everyone I meet.
I became a therapist after experiencing my own struggles and longing to connect with others on a meaningful level. Helping others navigate their personal journeys with empathy and support brings me the most joy.
